Well, we finally received our log-in date :):):) Our LID is 02/06/07, exactly one month after our dossier was received in China... We received an email from our agency and a "packet" to download that contains all sorts of things including the current time lines.....which I can happily say has decreased DECREASED decreased... Last month the wait was listed as 15-18 months and it is currently 14-16 months. Although this is not a HUGE decrease, it is amazing how much shorter it sounds to our ears :) The time line can, and will most likely, continue to change each month and not necessarily for the better. We will just keep praying....and saving like mad, so we will be prepared when our time does come :):) There is a group with our agency of families we can meet online who share our log-in month/year so we can begin getting to know these families who we may possibly travel with. We have been told by our friends that we will form bonds with some of these families that we travel with that will last forever....I can only imagine how close we will feel to these families when we all bring our daughters (possibly some sons) home together :)

The packet we downloaded also told us about upcoming packets we will receive in the upcoming months, a "travel packet" to download....then an "adoption travel training" DVD and then a "waiting family support packet" and right before we are matched, our final "pre-placement" packet. We were also told we should receive a brown envelope from the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China that confirms they have received the copy of our USCIS file. Some families do not receive this envelope, so we should not be concerned if we don't have it, (naturally, I really WANT this one)...The packet contains paperwork that we will need to bring to China, although the reps in Guangzhou will provide us with these forms if we don't receive them.

As we learn more we will continue to update our blog, we receive our newsletter on the 15th of every month so if nothing else, I will be able to report the current time line then :) Take care and we will be in touch again soon :P
