Well, I know it has been a long time since I posted and I feel terrible about that, really I do!! There has never been a time that this blog or our adoption journey has not been in the front of my mind and in the center of my heart, that is not the reason! But things have just been busy for both Onnie and myself and I decided to hold off posting until I had something positive to post about :O)
The wait is certainly not the positive that I was hoping to post about, it continues to grow and is now up to 29 months....What this means is that families who are currently being matched with children have log-in dates from 29 months ago. Our log-in date was 16 months ago. That gives you an idea of where we stand currently, but does not necessarily mean it will be our turn for matching at 29 months. It could be sooner but it could also (and pray to God not) longer!
We do continue to pray each and every day, we thank God for the opportunity He has given us to adopt an angel from China, when He is ready, we will be matched with our daughter and we know this in our hearts! We are still 100% happy with our agency, our choice to adopt and our choice to adopt from China, regardless what happens to the wait.
And, Jacob is doing wonderful during the journey!! He continues to thrive and just amaze us. We could not be more proud of his accomplishments and the hurdles he has overcome and continues to overcome every single day. He will be starting the first grade in the Fall, I will miss Ms. Wimpy and Mrs. Billings with every inch of my body...but trust in our school system and the principle that he will be paired with another wonderful teacher :-)
I will post more soon, I am going to Onnie's Monday night to see all of our squares before she begins to sew them together, I am so excited!! I will take photos and begin to post more as things progress~
What a Month......will get ya!!!!
