I REALLY CANNOT BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN SO LONG

Someone asked me recently what my blog address was...I haven't been here in a while (since there is really nothing to update) and just didn't realize HOW LONG it had been since I have been here!!

In a nutshell, yup, we are still waiting :O)..waiting to be matched with our beautiful daughter, to see her face and grab our bags and Jacob and head out the door!  It would be nice if it were that simple...unfortunately nothing with international adoption is easy.  We will have to wait weeks and complete all sorts of paperwork after we have been introduced to our daughter through our agency.  BUT I will do that with no problem, with great excitement and nervousness and I am sure all sorts of other emotions that I cannot even begin to comprehend now. 

We have currently been waiting for 50 months since our papers landed in Chinae and were approved, on the desk of the Chinese Center of Adoption Affairs...now no longer CCAA but CCCWA (China Center for Children's Welfare and Adoption).  There are lots of promising updates we have gotten from our agency about the international program...none of which will bring our daughter home NOW but we know in time, when He is ready, she will be here with us.

Jacob is growing like a weed just like everyone else's kids...which is crazy.  I feel like I am always saying "they are HOW old now?!" or "Holy cow, she is SO much taller"...and then I blink, and my own son has outgrown clothes that just fit the last time I checked?!  The fact that I wear my son's hand-me-down Converse is just insane...since he isn't even 10 yet.  Insane.  Crazy.  Third grade has been tough, but he continues to make us proud every single day.  I think we have found the perfect balance of regular/ special ed and just cannot believe there are less than 6 weeks of school left.  Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean we are not completely ready for Summer, we are more than words can say....I am just still in disbelief!

I will again try not to let so much time pass between posts.  Our last two "Movie-Under-The-Stars" for the ladies had to be cancelled due to weather...I am planning to send out evites/ invites for an upcoming May movie night, surely the storms won't threaten us a third time in a row?!  The movie nights give me something to post about here, I am much better at checking facebook and posting my thoughts there.  I will try my best to be better here.  My heart is here, after all :O)
