We are a featured family in the Wild Olive Tees Adoption Fundraiser!!

Hi everyone! I will try to keep this fairly brief and if anyone feels ANY desire for more specific details you know you can definitely contact me and I will be happy to ramble on and on :o) We were given notice yesterday by our agency to download our “Travel Packet 1”, which is chock full of Q&A for our “upcoming travel to China”, among other things we need to know such as when to renew our passports…we are currently 8 months behind the log in date of families being matched now. We also just learned our adoption agency was ranked #1 in international adoption. That is pretty amazing and we couldn’t be happier that we have been there from the beginning.

We have also been selected to be a “Featured Family” for the Wild Olive Tees Adoption Fundraising Program! This is very exciting for us but I don’t mind saying it also makes me a little uncomfortable- having an adoption fundraiser for our adoption, that is. We are VERY proud to be able to say that thus far we have done this completely on our own, but it has been a lot harder than we originally thought it was going to be and this opportunity felt right. I will copy specific details that Wild Olive Tees sent me to help you understand how this simple and amazing program works:

1. Family Code: WALKER0422
Your friends and family MUST use this code when checking out to help us track the funds you are raising! During the checkout process, there will be a coupon code option under the shopping cart. They will click on that box and it will open the coupon code field up in the left hand corner. That is where the code is applied. It would not hurt if they mentioned the family code, or your last name, in the comment section when placing their order (though not a necessity! ) Please let them know this code will NOT provide a discount on the Adoption fundraiser Tees. The code will be used solely to help us track your sales for your Fundraising efforts.

I had begun following a family’s blog, http://www.nihaoyall.com/quite a while back. This is a family who has an amazing adoption story, their family includes biological and adopted children (4 + 5 with 2 more on the way!) and they recently began fundraising through Wild Olive Tees to bring home the 2 newest additions to the family. I realized that while I haven’t even met them personally, I would love to be a part of bringing home their daughters and could wear that shirt and think of them. Our feelings toward our adoption fundraiser are the same. We thought that maybe some of our friends and family would like to help support our adoption and participate in bringing Laci home.
