Our second and final request to friends and family for their participation in our 100 Good Wishes Quilt Project

Dear Family and Friends,
We are sending this second letter to thank those of you who have participated so far in our 100 Good Wishes Quilt project!! We have so much fun checking the mailbox each day (Jacob enjoys our special “Laci packages”), anxious to see if we have received any squares and wishes. We have received 46 so far, practically half way there!!
We also want to encourage those of you who would still like to participate to go ahead and send us your fabric and wishes…..IT IS NOT TOO LATE! But we have already met with our friend who is going to be making the quilt (she finished all of her other projects and is ready for us), we will be shopping for the trim and backing for the quilt some time in July and then the project will begin in full swing. We know there are some of you who have already purchased your fabric, please don’t feel like we are trying to rush you…..we are just gently urging those who want to be included to put them in the mail and as always, we are thrilled that you are taking your time to help us with this family heirloom that will be cherished by many for a long time!!
The adoption wait has not decreased, we are sorry to say. In fact, the timeline has now increased to a discouraging 19-20 month wait. But we are in our fourth month of our wait so that is better than the first….and we are moving forward with the quilt because Marlene has the time now and is looking forward to working on our project, almost as much as we are! Don’t forget we are putting together a scrapbook with the wishes that you are sending with your fabric, I will also be posting photos of that once I begin!
If you have any questions, you can call us at 770-531-1001 or email us at bkynj@bellsouth.net. And don’t forget to check out the blog, if you are interested on seeing the progress we have made collecting our squares and the adoption updates at www.lacisjourneyhome.blogspot.com
All our love and appreciation, The Walker Family
