So....it has been way too long since I have posted and I am trying to update and stay current with the blog for Laci's Journey...One thing I should have posted about was the "Movie-Under-The-Stars Ladies Night that I hosted here at the house, twice at the end of 2009. We collected rattles and teethers and ALL sorts of things for the babies in the Henan province in China and sent them to the Donation Department of our agency, CCAI. We WILL be doing this again in the Spring, weather is way too iffy here in the mountains this time of year to try for another one...December was really really pushing it!
We had the first Movie Night at the beginning of November and the movie we watched on our inflatable screen outside under the stars was "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock. WAY TOO CUTE and yes, such a chick flick, which made it perfect!! The photo is from that night and it was awesome (although a bit cold)...
There was so much positive feedback and requests for another (not that I didn't plan a second anyway!) that I had another movie night at the beginning of December...I know, the weather made us move this one indoors...but we still watched a GREAT movie, "Four Christmases" with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of that night, BUT we continued to collect great things for those babies in need in Henan and Teresa at CCAI in the Colorado office is making sure the angels get their package!!
